1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form).
• Content: the projects, chapters, characters, notes, and other material you create or upload.
• Usage data: AI requests, token consumption, log data, and basic device/browser information.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service;
• To process AI requests and generate output you ask for;
• To process payments and maintain your token balance;
• To communicate with you about your account, security, and support;
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.

3. AI processing and third parties

To generate and analyze text, we send the relevant portions of your content to third-party AI providers (such as Google and OpenAI) strictly to fulfill your request. We use payment processing (Stripe) and cloud infrastructure and storage (including Amazon Web Services). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Your Content to train our own models.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your content or request deletion of your account, after which we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as financial records).

5. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app (for example, exporting or deleting projects), or by contacting us using the details below. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to deletion.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service (for example, session and CSRF cookies). These are necessary for the Service to function.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
